Trellis Shines in Servus Calgary Marathon

June 4th, 2024 - The Calgary Marathon Race Weekend, Canada's longest-running marathon and Alberta's Best Road Race, saw spots sell out quickly. Team Trellis seized the opportunity, assembling a remarkable team of 62 participants spanning various categories, from Madhav's awe-inspiring 60 km run to our youngest runners in the kid marathon.

Madhav beams with pride, surrounded by the jubilant Trellis team after his astounding 60 km run at the Servus Calgary Marathon.

Beyond its competitive aspect, the marathon symbolizes much more—a celebration of diversity, inclusivity, and human perseverance. The Servus Calgary Marathon serves as a platform for participants of all backgrounds to come together, break down barriers, and champion causes close to their hearts.

Our cheerers, hailed as “the loudest group in the stands,” demonstrated unwavering support despite the cold and rain, fueled by the camaraderie and the simple pleasures of coffee and snacks. We did not give up, not even when the wind wanted to bring down our cheering signs. The personalized cheering posters we made the day before for each runner held strong.

Our signs, reading "Rooting for you" and "Team Trellis," looked like little green rectangles dancing in the distance, bringing joy and energy as runners approached the charity block.

As runners braved the elements, our personalized cheering posters, bearing messages of encouragement and unity, danced in the distance, igniting enthusiasm as they approached the charity block.

Amidst the race's excitement, we recognize the profound impact of our matching-gift sponsors, Bluevale Capital and Peakhill Capital, whose generosity fueled our fundraising efforts, resulting in over $64,000 raised for charity. Their support was instrumental in our success, embodying the spirit of community and collaboration that defines Team Trellis. Like the marathon, Trellis fosters connections and collaboration, embodying community, and shared purpose.
