Reconnecting Through Culture: 2024 Culture Camp Video & Highlights

Culture Camp began as a way to reconnect Indigenous youth with their roots and traditions. For many attendees, this unique experience is their first opportunity to engage with Indigenous practices, participate in ceremonies and learn directly from Elders.

This year’s camp created a welcoming space filled with encouragement and teachings. Youth shared their excitement about being on the land, away from city life and electronics, and expressed deep gratitude for the wisdom and guidance of the Elders. One participant described how their favorite moment was witnessing the transformation in themselves and others, feeling their spirits “just glow” as they stepped off the bus.

Culture Camp is more than just a gathering; it’s an opportunity to forge meaningful connections, explore Indigenous practices, and embrace the belief that we are all relatives. Youth leave with new memories, bonds, and the strength to carry these experiences back into their daily lives.

A special thank you goes out to all of our partners and donors at Future Generations Foundation, TC Energy, and the Children's Aid Foundation of Canada for their tremendous generosity supporting Culture Camp.
